Snakes as a Fashion statement
The 3 levels of Cambridge Side Galleria near Boston were jam packed with a surprisingly humongous crowd, but the atmosphere was a silent whoosh of wind. There had been a touch of excitement in each and each folks mind in the spectators present. It was obviously obvious the audience was mesmerized and thrilled in the amazing appearances of models. Designers were demonstrating their au courant collections of “spring” with the gratified looks on their faces.
The collection on view was so attention-grabbing that nobody wished to miss even a dash of fascinating details and message every one of those revealed-especially the young crowd, as they were visualizing those phenomenal outfits on their body curves and appreciating the tough work put in by the designers. Amid the loud accolades, all of a sudden there had been a wave of silence all around the place. Steady, a model appeared on the side ramp wearing a red and yellow dress, embroidered with woolen fringes and beads. But wait! With her amazing outfit, she also wore a tube formed headband. The entire look of the model was a bit unique.
As she moved nearer to the ramp and the attention, she became partly identifiable. The heavy detailing of the dress was worth a glance. The headscarf was stunning like all of the stars of the Universe gathering in one universe. The model looked like a beauteous goddess. But all of a sudden, the headscarf moved. It started wrapping itself round the beautiful blonde.WOW! It had been a pretty Albino python-a reptile. That moment witnessed a mixed reaction and murmur among the breathless crowd.
The announcer loudly narrated the designer’s name-”Sherry Batra” and continued to tell the hypnotised crowd about the designer’s concept- “STOP Murdering AND start to live WITH ORGANICS.” the crowd heavily applauded the way in which the model presented the designer’s collection on the ramp. How agreeable she was with reptile-fondling & kissing. Folk began to fall crazy about everything they were watching. That was grand. Almost all of the crowd hadn’t seen 2 of the most attractive creations of the Mother Nature presented on one platform. The bedazzled reaction from audience was ample to substantiate the message, which reached across, about my entire idea.
Designers always have a mind for beauty. Beautiful reptile skin is a live example. POOR REPTILES! Reptile skin is admired by Designers and Shoppers for its change in texture and the lustrous effect of brilliant see though dyes applied in the finishing process. Manufacturers market Snake and Alligator skins, together with other reptile hides, for dear luxury goods like shoes, purses, wallets, jackets, vests, and trim on hats and gloves.
I would like to reiterate that we haven’t any right to abuse and kill reptiles- snakes, pythons, and alligators for our vain approach towards an avertable style statement. We should now think before using leather clothing and accessories. Instead of destroying our heritage by planning an easy purse, shoes jacket and write the way forward for our coming generations with permanent black dye which will take years to vanish with a durable impact ; we should guide it to the trail of supportability.
Studies have also shown that tolerant education helps youngsters develop empathy, respect, and compassion for animals-which later metamorphose into compassionate disposition towards folk. Whether we like animals, if we wish to live in a good and non-violent society, one of the most significant things we will be able to do is to respect animals and to teach youngsters to give them respect. Fostering positive attitude and kind behaviour towards animals make a contribution to the development of a good compassionate society and an enhanced standard of life for all living beings.
